A Special Baby

Merry Christmas Eve, friends!

Just had to share this beautiful video in which the children of St. Paul’s Church in New Zealand tell and act out the Christmas story.  There are so many magical moments in it – – I watched it three times in a row.  I just couldn’t get enough of those precious accents.  Look out for my favorite character: the third wise man.  Thanks to my M.I.L. Rachael for sharing this with me!

{Going off the air for a few days to be with my family in New York.  Enjoy your holiday!}

This is Lauren, signing off.

    1. Ha ha! I’m so glad you pointed that out. She’s one of my favorites, too! I love the slow and deliberate way she says her line before slamming the door. When you’ve only got one line, you’ve got to make the most of it!

    1. I catch new things each time I see it, and it wasn’t until the third or fourth viewing that I started to key in on him. I think he’s crying when they’re sitting at the top of the hill…and you can tell he’s had a rough go of it, especially when he stumbles and flings his gift before Jesus. HA!

      1. Yes, I’m already trying to figure out how to utilize the idea for our Christmas pageant next year! It was lov-er-ly to have you and Mark here with Lisbeth! By the way, I found your wedding box (finally) and have your wedding invitation. I think I have an idea how to make it work for an ornament…

        1. I love that you’re gleaning inspiration for next year’s pageant! Interviewing the kids about the nativity story and having it play in the background of the performance could be incredible (and very do-able now that you’re more savvy in Garage Band). That’s awesome you found our invitation! We have a whole year to figure out how to make an ornament for next Christmas (and I’d love to hear your idea).

Your comments make my day!
