Have Tote, Will Travel & Silhouette Giveaway!
I still have such vivid memories of the TV commercial jingles from my childhood in the 80s. Puppy Surprise, Connect 4, Toys R’ Us…and one in particular came to mind this past week. Does anyone else remember “My buddy and me?”
Well, as I took my Silhouette Cameo machine out-and-about with me this past week in my new Tweed Rolling Tote, I couldn’t help but sing to myself:
My Cammie (my Cammie), my Cammie (my Cammie)
Wherever I go she goes.
My Cammie (my Cammie), my Cammie (my Cammie)
My Cameo and me!
That’s right! You can actually transport and store your Silhouette Cameo or Portrait machine in a tote made especially for it. Here’s a closer look at the Tweed Rolling Tote for the Cameo machine that I got to try out:
SPECIAL FEATURES:
- Plenty of room and padding for storing your Cameo.
- Special protected area for your laptop (fits laptops up to 19 inches).
- Storage for your cutting mat, materials, and accessories…with special velcro padding for rolls of vinyl.
- Three outer pockets for storing your power cord and tools.
- Telescoping luggage handle and wheels for easy transport.
- Leather handles with velcro for easy carrying.
- Great size: approximately 25 in x 10 in x 12 in.
And isn’t that tweed just so English-professor-meets-Coco-Chanel?
So, I packed her to the gills and put her to the test, bringing “my buddy” along with me to Disney Boardwalk where I met up with my Haven friend, Emily from Two Purple Couches, for lunch. Here’s Emily:
We chatted about our hopes and dreams for the year (in between shooing away aggressive seagulls), and then I decided to see what it would be like to use my Cameo in an unconventional location…say…a plot of grass by Crescent Lake.
I unpacked my tote…
…opened up my software and tapped into Disney’s free WiFi…
…loaded up my vinyl and adjusted my blade…
…hooked my power cord into an extension cord…
…and sat back and relaxed while I imagined the sweet sweet song of my machine cutting out a vinyl design in the great outdoors. Does it get any better than this?
Have Tote, Will Travel!
And thanks to Emily for being game to take these silly pictures of me!

Lauren, I completely remember those commercials! Kid sister and me…. I got one of these rolling totes for my birthday in December, but I haven’t had a chance to break it out yet. I traveled with my Cammie once before and it was a bit of a mess. I’m looking forward to using a tote made especially for her.
I want one of those totes even though I don’t have a Cameo or Portrait yet! What a fun post!
Can’t wait to hear who wins!
What a fun post! (Especially since I was at Disney on Monday!) 🙂
Hi Lauren, I would be doing cartwheels if I won this! Thanks for the opportunity.

Thank you so much for hosting the giveaway! I feel greedy since I already own a Portrait, but it would be fun to be able to give one to my mom!
Oh how I’d love to live that close to Disney and be able to enjoy lunch at the Boardwalk. It looks like a fabulous time! The tweed tote is really cute. It must hold a ton of supplies. Love it!
Lauren, you and your friend, Emily remind me me of one of my friends and me. Always out for the most unconventional setting and having fun! Thanks for the great review. I had been wondering about it, now I know. That deal on the tote, cameo, and 25 dollar card is amazing. I gave that alone for my cameo and never regretted a penny of it! hugs, Patty
