Introducing…The New Paperback Edition of Thinking Outside the Gift Box!

Well, pinch me now.  The big day is finally here!

The new paperback edition of my book Thinking Outside the Gift Box is now available for pre-order, and I’ve got my “paperback happy dance” all ready to rock.

Goofy videos aside, I’m truly just over-the-moon to be able to offer Thinking Outside the Gift Box in paperback format because I know there are a whole slew of you who just can’t resist holding a real book in your hands.  {Cough–I am one of those people.}

There’s just something about being able to curl up on the couch, real book nestled in my hands, mug of chai at arm’s reach, doodling pen at the ready.  I’ve always been a write-in-the-margins kinda gal.

In fact, let me give y’all a quick run-down of some of the exciting new features of the paperback edition, some of which you spied in the vid!:

Update #1: New Subtitle!  

The original subtitle for the eBook edition, 21 Money-Saving & Meaningful Gift Ideas, proved a bit confusing to some.  How do I know?  Well, I constantly got the remark from readers, “But there are so many more gift ideas than 21!” and “I thought this was going to be a book of craft tutorials, but it was so much more!”

And they were right.

So, back to the drawing board I went, and I returned with a new and improved subtitle that I feel better represents my vision for the book: 75 Simple & Meaningful Gift Ideas to Spark Your Creativity.

Update #2: New Gift Ideas

After doing some simple math, I figured out that there were 73 gift ideas in my original eBook, so I swapped out some oldies and added some newbies to make it an even 75.

Each gift is broken down by estimated cost, time investment, kid-friendly factor, recommended supplies.  Because this is not just a book to read, but to do!

Update #3: 30 New Color Pictures

Because if you’re going to commit to doing color interior pages, might as well make the most of it, amiright?  You’ll find a whopping 30 new color pictures added to this edition.

Any visual learners out there?  These pages will be a feast for those who like to see examples of gifts in action when nurturing their own creative ideas.

Update #4: A New Killer Cover

One of the most thrilling things about getting my hands on my first proof was getting to see in person the new cover design for the paperback edition, which is the handiwork of the talented Tori from Tori Grant Designs.  She somehow managed to hit every item on my wish list and transformed my plain ‘ole copy into a thing of beauty.

Thanks to her artistry, I am confident that this book is one worthy of a spot on your bookshelf.

Update #5: Online Resources Access

My solution to the ole “how-do-I-link-to-additional-resources-on-the-pages-of-a-book” conundrum was to use a footnote system throughout the book that corresponds with an Online Resources Page.  So, readers now have access to a comprehensive list of all of those helpful links from the eBook in one clickable page.  Sneak a peek here!

Update #6: Brainstorming Pages

Eek!  This might be the option I’m most excited about, but each chapter now contains an entire page dedicated to brainstorming gift ideas and recipients.  So, as inspiration strikes you, you can quickly capture those ideas right onto the page.

I really said what I meant and I meant what I said in my subtitle when these 75 gift ideas are intended to spark your creativity.

75 is only the beginning, my friends.  Once you start filling up your brainstorming pages with doodles, and lists, and Post-its, there’s no limit to the number of gift ideas you’ll collect!
