3 Days Till Launch & eBook Sample Chapters!

Seven years ago, I wrote a bucket list in the back of a book.  30 things I wanted to accomplish by age 30.

Some of those dreams became realities…

Get my Master’s.  Dye my hair red.  Go on a hike.

Other faded away or have simply been bumped up to the 40 x 40 list.

Ride a bicycle built for two.  Visit Spain.  Perform in a coffeehouse with Lisbeth.

And #25 is becoming a reality in three days.  Yes.  Three.  Days.

A dream is about to become a reality. Thinking Outside the Gift Box eBook.

It has been a journey of over a year to get here.

11 months of claiming 2014 as the year of the eBook.

7 months of dreamcasting.

4 months of intense writing…writing…and re-writing.

3 months of trying to wrap my brain around how to launch a product.

2 months of reaching out for help and being bombarded with nothing but love.

1 month of shaping words on a page into something visually beautiful.  Something inspired.

3 weeks of round-the-clock hustle to make it happen.  Because you gotta do what you gotta do.  Even if it means bringing your laptop to the hair salon.  #whatwouldbeyoncedo

Hustle time! Gettin' this eBook ready to ship!

I don’t like to do dreams small.  Not anymore.  I say, “Go big or go home.”  And I’ve gone big with this one.  I have poured my heart and soul into this eBook project.  And you guys, I am so excited to share it with you all on Monday.

In fact, I’m so excited, I can’t wait that long.

Sample Chapters

So, I have for you all today a sneak peek at my Table of Contents, Introduction, plus 2 sample chapters.  24 pages out of 143.  They are some of my favorite pieces of writing from the book.

I hope you have a few moments on this Friday to sit down with a cup of comfort and read them.  I hope it gets you inspired to infuse your gift-giving with meaning this year…and not a ton of money, time, or stress.  Because it doesn’t have to be that way.  Just go ahead and read on…and you’ll see what I mean.

What did ya think?

I’d love to hear what you thought in the comments below.  And if I whet your appetite for more, well than mark your calendars, friends.  Because at 7 a.m. E.S.T. this Monday, November 17th, we’re going live!

I’ll have a post published here on the blog at that time with all the details on how to buy your eReader or pdf copy.  There will even be a third package that will include both versions plus a slew of extra goodies, like an audio version recorded by yours truly, expert interviews, worksheets, calendars, and so much more.  (Gotta leave some surprises for Monday morning.)

Are you an email subscriber?  If not, you’ll want to be.  Subscribers will be the first to know on Monday morning that the eBook has hit the virtual presses!  (Plus, I have a fab lil freebie gift for all subscribers that will get your meaningful gift-giving jumpstarted: a printable pack to create your own 12 Months of Dates Mini-Books.)

To subscribe, click HERE.

Thanks for all the cheers along the way.  Goal #25 would never have gotten here if it hadn’t been for your overwhelming support.

  1. Hi Amazing Woman,
I agree with coco! Enjoy the weekend, rest up, and Monday will be amazing! Enjoy the ride!

Your sneak preview is already inspiring me…I’m so proud of you!!

And you know this is just the beginning!! 🙂

  2. I’m so proud of you! I know the hard work you’ve put into this completely fantastic book. You have a huge heart and comes through every page. Have a great weekend and rest up for Monday. It’s going to be amazing!

  3. Congrats my friend! I KNEW you’d finish strong with a home run! I’m planning some quiet time with my cup of comfort and your preview this weekend:). Can’t wait for the full release on Monday… LOVING your cover!!

  4. Wow! I’m impressed. I’m one fussy book buyer ebook or otherwise, and your contents have my interest piqued. Perfect timing for this to help readers through the holidays.

  5. Lauren, I could have sworn I heard your voice in these two chapters (and we’ve never met). This is just so perfect! While I seldom suffer from gifter’s block (I listen to people all year long and file it away or make gifts), the gift of time is the most precious. Thank you for that reminder. This is the perfect time of year for your book to go live! I’m looking forward to reading the remainder!

    1. Oh wow, I don’t think you could have given me a greater compliment, Camille. “Voice” is what I strive for in my writing above all else…so I feel like I can rest easy now knowing I have your stamp of approval. Also, I love your listening ear to dream and scheme fitting gifts for your recipients. What a blessing you are!

  6. Oh gosh Lauren, it looks so so good. I literally could not be happier for you, or prouder of you. I’m so inspired by your determination, focus, and dedication. Hope you have the most fantastic pre-launch weekend. Love you friend! xxx

  7. Oh Lauren, how do you manage to do it? Here I’ve been…watching and reading about your upcoming book for the past few months…thinking to myself…well, that’s nice for Lauren, but doesn’t apply to me…after all, what could be said on the subject that hasn’t already been said? It just goes to show me what happens when I think I know it all. Reading the sneak peek that you offered, I can see that this book will be a fabulous resource, and that it will help me rethink the way I approach gift giving (I’m totally one who runs by the store for a gift card on the way to the event!) Now I’m excited for the launch on Monday!

    1. Aw, Meredith…your comment makes me smile from ear to ear. I’m delighted to know this sneak peek spoke to your heart like it did. And thanks for joining me in my excitement for Monday! You are the best!

  8. I love it! I totally struggle from gifter’s block so (unfortunately) there was no awkward pause here. Seeing this actually reminded me that I had a dream about your ebook launch last night! (Totally random, I know.) You spent launch day in a super fancy hotel celebrating and watching the sales roll in. From what I’ve read, I’m sure that will be the case. I think I’ll start going by Nostradamus. I just wish I could dream up some lottery numbers! 😉

    1. Lol. Glad to know you could resonate with both the terminology of Gifter’s Block as well as the experience of it. And oh my goodness, you seriously had a dream about my launch? That is too cool! And I love the idea of spending Monday at a fancy hotel – – even if only in dreamland. Ha ha. You’re the bestest! P.S. I haven’t forgotten your request for more of the behind the scenes on the actual eBook process. I’m already scheming ways to share about my experience…though it might be after the holidays. 😉
