“Sew Easy” Turban Headband: Video Tutorial

Welcome back to Scarf Week!  Can you believe we’re on our final day of tutorials?  Me neither!  What a fun and wild ride it has been.

In fact, I’d go so far as to say that it is “sew easy.”  (I know, I know.  So bad it’s good.)

And plus, when you see the cuteness that you’ll be creating, I think you’ll be down like a clown, Charlie Brown.  Today, in an Oscar-worthy video tutorial (if I do say so myself), I’m going to give you the skinny on how to create…a…

And so I shall; and so I shall.

  1. WOW, so cute! I need to make some to wear to work. Since I have to wear my hair up for work each day, as CNA. These would be fabulous to wear and keep hair out of my face. 🙂 Glad I had a few min to catch up with you, and wish you Happy Blogiversary! Love your blog.

  2. It’s so much fun to watch these tutorials not only to learn how to make a really cute project like the turban but to just enjoy your humor and creativity! It is something for my to do list, too! I can definitely see this as apparel for little baby girls as you mentioned.

Loved your commentary, your acceptance speech, and how you turned the “fiskar oscar” into an award for not only scarf week but back again to shark week (a turban of words, so to speak)! Caught the shout-out to your sister and to those days of making scrunchies!

Well done to all FOUR of you Scarf Week bloggers! Hope you’ll come back next year for more SCARF week!

  3. This is my favorite one that you did! So cute, and yet so simple, the perfect DIY. Another thing to add to my “to sew” list *sigh* one day..! 😉

  4. OMG! Love the “Boho Hipster with Cat”. That is a look I could totally pull off with my short hair! But can I substitute a dog for a cat? Not sure if that jives with the hipster part… anyhoot. Love this turban look and your step by step instructions! I’ve recently acquired a sewing machine so I could totally give this one a shot! 🙂

  5. Oh my word I need to learn how to sew properly haha because I NEED one of these in my life! Ok I’m STILL laughing at “rhymes with whiskers”! hahaha seriously. I just laughed out loud again! Oh boy.

Your video tutorials have been SO much fun to watch and you came up with so many great ideas! It was SUCH a pleasure being part of this crazy week with you and Allison and Vanessa! Thanks for the scarfing good time!!!

  6. Scarf week was so fun. I got some great ideas from you brilliant ladies. Thanks for your videos too, you are so funny.
