I mine for awesome YouTube videos like a forty-niner pans for gold in the California riverbeds.  With a mission.  A sense of purpose.  A hunger for something mighty.

Sometimes I give up on my responsibilities for the day just to seek out after that video that will entertain or inspire.  And when I find that treasure of a video, I don’t want to hoard it away in a private collection like a miser.  No, I want to share it with the world.  And my world includes my dear readers!

10 Videos of Pure YouTube Gold

So, today, I’m going to provide you with 10 amazing videos because…you didn’t really want to be productive today, anyway…right? {Smile.}

I hope these videos entertain and inspire you as they did me.  Enjoy!

1.  “This video gave me the chills. And made me want to take dance lessons. And drag Mark along with me.”

2. “For those of you who grew up alongside The Tanner family on Full House, this vid from Jimmy Fallon’s Late Night show is for you!”

3. “I’m moved by this small child being moved by A Great Big World’s “Say Something” (featuring Christina Aguilera).  Ah, the power of music.”

4.  “Prepare to have your heart warmed by this story of twin sisters who found each other after 26 years apart (thanks to YouTube).  Maybe it’s because I have a sister myself, but it made me weepy!”

5.  “Although I know Henri’s life is full of woe, I cannot help but chuckle at the melancholy musings of this French feline.”

6.  “I dare you to just try not bopping your head to the music in this song.  Happy weekend!”

P.S.  They made a 24 hour version!

7.  “Here’s a video for anyone who has ever cuddled with cats or thought hyenas were all scoundrels…you’ll be amazed.”

8.  “These three Swedish fishermen perform a pretty impressive acapella version of ‘Kiss From a Rose on the Grave.'”

9.  “Artist of the Year Award goes to…GOD.  Also, I would think that every camping trip after this one would be a serious let down, would it not?”

10.  “Oh, the clumsy days of childhood.  If only I had outgrown them!  (Thanks to Allison for the tip on this gem of a vid.)”

I know, I’ve just sent you on a whirlwind of emotions, haven’t I?  Hopefully all good ones!

    1. Ha ha. Glad it was the good kind of emotional roller coaster! And it’s no surprise to me you enjoyed the Full House vid. Have you been watching Candace Cameron Bure on DWTS this season? Love her!

  1. Oh Lauren! What a treat! My fave has to be the wedding dance! how beautiful! I have just emailed it to my FiancĂ© letting him know how high the bar has become! haha! The Twins one was just so heartwarming! I love my sister to pieces and cant imagine only meeting her in my adult life..Makes me feel so lucky that we got to share a childhood together. Thank you so much for sharing so much joy and so many feelings! I better go and stop procrastinating about writing my new brooch blog post…many in a few more videos time…..ahhhhh! Its a youtube back hole….I am a goner….send cupcakes….

  2. Although I got a little down after listening to Henri the cat’s mewsings to the plaintive music of Erik Satie’s Gymnopedie, I had to go one more video and found myself clapping along with the Happy music of #6. Thanks for the uplift tonite.
