Quick & Easy Thanksgiving Decor
Here’s how much decorating I’ve done for Thanksgiving.
Until now, that is! Last night, when doing my link party thang, I came across these Retro Giving Thanks Prints created by Bev from Flamingo Toes. She has three cutie prints to choose from. All you do is click on the one you want, it opens as a pdf, and bam! You’re printing it off, trimming it up, and slipping it into a 8 x 10 frame to display on your table.
I had an old black frame that I gave a little makeover using a fresh coat of blue paint with some black dry brushing on top. I added a little burlap bunting using some twine and burlap ribbon I had on hand. It was both quick and easy.
Thanksgiving decor? Check.
Being reminded of what this holiday is all about? Double check.
Give thanks to the Lord for He is good. His love endures forever.
How fun is that?? I love the way you framed the printable – that little burlap pennant is so cute! Thanks so much for the link!! 🙂 Happy Thanksgiving!
You’re so kind to stop by and comment, Bev! Thanks again for sharing your beautiful artwork with us all. Thanks to you, our home has some Thanksgiving cheer.
I also love the “zero” photo!! Where do you have this picture in your lovely home?! Teh burlap bunting adds so much to it!
Happy Thanksgiving. God willing we’ll be together soon!
It’s now resting on the long table in the entryway (the one you gave us!) so it greets us when we enter and bids us farewell when we depart. We have some yellow flowers next to it, too, now, which makes it even more festive. 😉
Cute pic of you and I love your headband! Did you make it? I also appreciate you sharing the printable. It’s good to have those little reminders 🙂
Thanks! And I wish I made it! It was a LOFT outlet find a few years back. I sort of have a “thing” for headbands. 😉 Love that you’ve got such an eye for hair accessories.
Oh my your zero photo is priceless, totally made my day!
Fantastic! Glad I chose this photo, then…even though I look a little cross-eyed. 😉
I also laughed aloud at the first photo…you’ve got a whole chorus of laughter from the blog-o-sphere audience! This made me think of “All Good Gifts” from Godspell. 🙂
All Good Gifts…what a wonderful song for anyone to sing this time of year and anytime!!
Love it Lauren! Very cute and pretty at the same time. Love the re-made frame look, what a good idea!
Thanks, Mom! We just have so many black frames – – I thought it’d be fun to try something different. 😉 And Mark made the suggestion to distress it a bit.
This is so cute! I love the burlap bunting!
Thanks, Alexis. It seems like bunting is all the rage these days – – had to give it a whirl!
I’m in the laughing at the first photo camp as well. You had me at ‘zero’. 😉 Great idea!
Ha! “You had me at zero.” (Can’t help but imagine that in Renee Zellweger’s voice!)
It sounded just as cheesy in my head, too! 😉
Beautiful! (And your first photo made me laugh!) 🙂
Happy to bring you a chuckle!
I agree with floridaysmom about the picture of you…too funny! I love that you made this craft so fast and then posted about it already. That is pretty amazing!
Thanks! It was one of my quicker projects…I tend to be a slow-poke.
The picture of you made me laugh out loud. Super cute thanksgiving frame, thanks for sharing…but the “zero” picture is the real hero for me. Hysterical!!!
Ha ha! So glad you got a kick out of my zaniness, Christina!
